"Hail holy Mother who brought forth to the world the Everlasting Light, Jesus Christ Our Lord" (from the Introit and Preface of the Tridentine "Sancta Missa" - the pre-1950 'reform' Missal authorized by Pope St. Pius X).
St. Augustine : "Dearly beloved brethren, the day for which we have longed, the Feast-day of the Blessed and Venerable Ever-Virgin Mary, that day is come.... The mother of our race brought punishment into the world, but the Mother of our Lord [will now bring] Salvation into the world... Eve welcomed death, but Mary [will now help us] in life. Eve smote, but Mary [will now bring us] Healing and Cure" (18th Sermon on the Saints) as St. Augustine - once a great sinner: his mind ensnared by errors which all the more plunged his soul and body into the filth of sexual debauchery, but was raised into a towering great Catholic Saint (NO Vatican II-'Catholic' who strives to serve both the "Catholic God" of St. Augustine's ancient Faith and the 'ecumenical' idol of 'all mercy & compassion' of the day with its assurances of this-wordly 'blessings' of wealth, luxury, conveniences, fame, and sensual pleasures being 'OK'; and, NO Protestant 'Bible-only' heretic) - obtained from Her who, in this Her birth, is "the morning rising BRIGHT AS the Sun [SINLESS as Our Lord, "the Orient from on high," St. Lk. 1.78]" (Canticle 6.9). Indeed, they "who find [Her] finds Life, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Pr. 8.35)
